Today is the 1st day besides last Friday when I stayed home sick, that I don't have to run around all day! I'm going to try to get caught up on everyone's blogs!
Right after my show I was really fired up to compete again. But to be honest, right now I am really enjoying just being a fit Mom! I've only gained 3 pounds and I feel really good! A couple people have asked me if I gained any weight and I said 3 pounds, and they were like, "What! you've gained 3 pounds already!" I'm like that's NOTHING! I feel really good about that, they just don't understand.
I trained chest today and benched 140! 135 went up really easy! That felt good. I'm still working on pull ups too. For diet, right now I'm just counting calories and eating what I want! I can't tell you how good that feels. I feel like the weight of the world is lifted off of me and I'm enjoying eating healthy again. When I was dieting I would panic if I grabbed a handful of cereal and some days it would lead to a binge because I'd tell myself I'd already blown it and I won't be able to eat that again for a long time. But now I know I can have anything I want the next day!
I DO want to compete again in the fall though, so I need to get my head into it mentally. My goals have changed too. I just want to have fun. I might do bodybuilding again and I want to try fitness. I already have a routine made up, minus a couple 8 counts of dancing, but all the strength moves are in there. I'll have to see how the summer goes.

Hi Abby! Glad you are enjoying everything (minus being sick). I couldn't agree more with wanting to just be fit and healthy and eat normal again... someday I will be there. I love the fitness in the fall idea, I'm sure once you are ready to start prepping it will be easy to decide what to do. Enjoy the rest of the week/weekend girl!

3 lbs is GREAT! I know that "spot" you speak of that you are in right now and if feels good for me too!
Thanks for the good luck wishes! so good to hear things are going so well (except for being sick!) and i hear ya about just being a fit mom again!i am looking forward to that the most,and of course getting back to "normal" eating again (well,you know normal to us is like healthnut freak to everyone else!LOL!) and congrats on the 3lb gain! i will try my best to follow the same suit as you-as much as i want to binge on EVERYTHING in sight right now,i know i need to keep it undercontrol and ease back into my healthy habbits (cant WAIT to make my choco-oats-chip cookies!will post the recipe after the show-your kids would LOVE them! a healthy version of t real thing!) anyways,sorry for the short story,but again,glad to hear you are back on track and being the awseome fit mamma you are!!!!have a good rsst the week and weekend!! chica!!!
Thank you Abby!! 3 lbs is amazing!!! You should be very proud of yourself!!! I'm excited for you about fitness. I admire people who do that, because I'm so not coordinated enough. How fun! I still think we need to do a comp where all of us bloggers can meet up! I think Becca mentioned a November comp in IL...

I know you are so busy with those kids, OMG I HAVE NO CLUE How you do it.
As far as competing in the fall, do you have any shows picked out? I am thinking that Tasha, Marissa and I are gonna try to do one in late Oct or late Nov...the nov. one is my first choice but we haven't committed to it yet. Chicago area, OCB, i'll let you know...you should join us! It might be the perfect time for you to showcase your size in BB or fitness?
We need to do lunch one of these days. (when you get a breather!)

I hear you Abby... it took me a long time to recover after competing.. physically I was complete toast. Then a weird thing happened that I have heard happens to other competitors as well... I began to clean. Clean everything... as if just being compelled to tie up loose ends that got put on the back burner during prep.
I think a bodybuilding routine would be awesome! I am sooo interested in doing that one day.
Fitness is HARDCORE for sure.. I RESPECT and ADMIRE anyone with the will and cahonies to do Fitness.
Oh and 140??? Holy CRAP!!! Do you want to see if you can bench me when I come? lol
